Braden River High School, home of the Pirates, is part of the Manatee County Public School District in Florida. The high school is located at 6445 State Road 70 East in Bradenton, Florida 34203, and can be reached by phone at 941-751-8230. The school’s colors are maroon, black, and silver.

The Braden River High School got a unique start in 2005 when it opened to only 9th and 10th grades, with a student body of about 650. Just over ten years later, the home of the Braden River Pirates has flourished with a current student body of 1900 across grades 9 – 12, with a staff and faculty of over 134.

Braden River High School in Bradenton has been rated as a grade A school in the state of Florida.

The mission of Braden River High School is “to empower students to be strong, responsible leaders who value personal integrity, academic excellence, and civic involvement.

In sports, the boys’ tennis team has brought home a trophy for First District Team Championship Title, as did the varsity baseball team. Sports are an important aspect of the Braden River High School spirit.

There are more than twenty clubs and organizations to which students can belong. These organizations include Academic Team, Art Club, Beta Club, Sr. Advisory Board, Jr. Advisory Board, Colorguard/Winterguard, Drama Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, French Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Health Occupations Students of America, JROTC, Key Club, Marching Band, National FFA, Newspaper, NHS-BRHS, Rowing Club, Serteens, Student Government Association, Technology Students Association, Tri-M, and Yearbook.

The BRHS Library Media Center offers library locations and resources, e-books, research and writing, test prep, career info, senior project, film rush Manatee, history fair, world conflicts, and resources for teachers.

Braden River High School is home to four nationally acclaimed academies. The academies at Braden River High School include Arts and Communications Academy, Business and International Studies, Engineering and Leadership, Science and Health Academy. Each academy specializes in specific areas centered around particular career goals and potential occupations of students.
